Grand  Chancellor Richard Resnick

Richard Resnick was born in Brooklyn, New York, May 23 1948.
He graduated Long Island University in 1971 with a BS in Marketing. In 2008, he retired from MTA New York City Transit as a Supervisor. That same year he joined Genesis Lodge #64. His sponsor was now-PGC Phillip E. Feigel. Richard's hard work in Genesis Lodge paid off; after being elected to various officer positions there, he was elected Chancellor Commander.
In 2016, Richard became a Dual Member of Harmony Lodge #709. He is currently a member of the Pythian Humanitarian Fund Committee and Diabetes Research Association, attends their meetings and actively takes part in fundraising for both.
In July 2016, then-GC Sheldon Blitz appointed Richard Deputy Grand Chancellor, 46 District, and in July 2017, then-GC Feigel appointed him an Assistant Chief Deputy Grand Chancellor. In June 2018, the Domain of New York elected Richard Grand Outer Guard.
Richard has two wonderful daughters, Erika and Stacey and two granddaughters, Zoe and Melody.
Besides being an active in the Knights of Pythias, Richard is an avid photographer who belongs to various artists groups; his photos have been on display in various venues.

 

Grand Vice Chancellor Errol Lewis

Errol Lewis joined the order in 2006, becoming a member of Genesis Lodge No. 64. He has held various positions in Genesis lodge, rising to Chancellor Commander in 2012. He remains very active with his lodge. Errol served as a Deputy Grand Chancellor during the term of PGC Philip Feigel (2018-19).
Errol has been active with many Grand Lodge Committees, including serving as recording secretary for the Pythian Diabetes Research Association. Errol currently co-chairs the Grand Lodge Membership Committee.
Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1957, Errol still lives in the borough with his wife, Martha. He attended Miami Dade South Community College in Florida, as well as SUNY Sullivan Community College, in Loch Sheldrake, NY. His major was Business Administration.
Errol had an active role in managing TCBY franchises in Staten Island, for which area his family had exclusive rights. He later became an employment recruiter, finalizing his career as a Senior Recruiter.
An avid sports fan, Errol enjoys volunteering his time for many non-profit organizations. He has received many commendations for his volunteer services. He also enjoys spending quality time with Martha.

 

Grand Prelate Bryan Hoffman

Bryan Hoffman is Member of King Solomon Utopia Lodge #400; he currently serves as its Treasurer and served as Chancellor Commander from 2018-2020. He is his lodge's Membership/Retention Chairman and an officer of King Solomon Triangle and Crossbay-Utopia Benevolent Associations. Active in the Dramatic Order, Knights of Khorassan, Bryan is an officer of Salaam Temple #145. He served as a Deputy Grand Chancellor from the 2nd District from 2019-2021.
Bryan was born in Brooklyn and moved to Rockaway Park, Queens as a youngster, where he completed public school. He studied Oceanography at Beach Channel HS; he lettered on the wrestling team, served as Editor and photo editor of the school newspaper. Bryan earned an Engineering degree at SUNY Farmingdale. He worked for MTA NYC Transit as Bus mechanic and earned promotions to foreman and then Superintendent. Bryan currently manages approximately 5.5 million dollars in maintenance material and supplies across two MTA bus depots.
In his 20s after meeting someone who helped so many and gave so much of himself to others, Bryan started his volunteerism. Since then he has volunteered with many organizations and continues to do so. He felt “plugged in” in a way he never had before. Volunteering and charitable works came very natural to Bryan. Bryan has been blessed with a wonderful family that supports his charitable works. He finds it very rewarding to help others.
Joining the Pythian Order was just a natural progression into his charitable works.
Bryan is married for over 27 years to Theresa who is a NYC schoolteacher and have 2 wonderful children.
Bryan is looking forward to working with the rest of the Grand Lodge as well as the subordinate lodges to increase membership. Bryan in determined to help keep the Order strong and going for many years to come.

 

Grand Secretary Steven Gold

Steven joined University Co-Op City Lodge in 1977 and became a Past Chancellor in 1983. Steven later joined New City Orangetown Lodge #854 as a dual member in 2012. He is also a dual member of FDR Lodge #613
He was appointed Deputy Grand Chancellor for the 2013-14 term under Grand Chancellor Erwin Grill and Assistant to the Chief Deputy Grand Chancellor for the 2014-15 term under Grand Chancellor Sir Robert Ross. Steven was appointed by Grand Chancellor Randy Silverman to serve as Chief Deputy Grand Chancellor for the 2019-20 term and again for 2020-21 term.
Steven’s active service with Grand Lodge includes: Secretary of the Humanitarian Committee, the Secretary of the Diabetes Committee, and as Director on both the Diabetes and Camp Committees. He also serves on the budget committee.
Steven attended William Howard Taft High School and Bernard Baruch College. He holds housing management Certifications: CMCA—Certified Manager of Community Associations RAM—Registered Apartment Manager NYS Licensed Real Estate Broker NYS Licensed Notary Public.
Outside of the Pythian Order, Steven serves as the President of his condominium association and he has been a board member of that association for 16 years.

 

Grand Treasurer PGC Don Rosenberg

PGC Don Rosenberg joined the Order in 1975 as a member of Yorktown Lodge in the Northern Suburban Region where he served for many years as its Chancellor Commander.
He was appointed a Deputy by Grand Chancellor Michael Sukenick and as an Assistant to the Chief by Grand Chancellor Robert Kaufman. In addition he served as President of the 72nd District for the year 2013-2014.
Grand Chancellor Robert Ross asked him to become Grand Treasurer and he was confirmed by the Grand Council upon the recommendation of the Grand Chancellor on December 1, 2014.
Don is an enrolled agent admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service and has a Bachelor of Science from Lehman College and a Masters in Political Economy from the New School for Social Research. He has also served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Hostos Community College/CUNY for 35 years.
He was born and raised in the Bronx in 1948. He is married to his lovely wife Roberta and has 3 boys Bradley, Jeffrey and Jonathan. His pride and joy are his granddaughter Tegan and grandson Aaron.

 

Grand Master at Arms Brian Klasewitz

Brian joined Canarsie Lodge #636 in April 1982 and transferred to Excelsior now Majestic Lodge #109 in June 2001. He served as Deputy Grand Chancellor for the 46th District for Grand Chancellor Randy Silverman from 2019 through 2021. In Majestic Lodge Brian serves as its Treasurer, President of the Moe Cohen Charitable Foundation, an officer of the Jerry Alpert Memorial Scholarship Fund and a director for the Benevolent Association. He serves on the Lodge's Budget & Finance, Collation, Membership, Entertainment, Subsidy and Sports Committees. He is an additional member of Harmony Lodge #709 (2nd District), Criers Lodge #651 (2nd District), Esquire Goodfellowship Lodge #635 (2nd District), Genesis Lodge #64 (46th District) & FDR Lodge #613 (46th District).
Brian was born and raised in Brooklyn, now residing in Marine Park. He is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and later earned a degree in Finance from Brooklyn College.
He worked for Paine Webber and UBS for 35 years managing areas in Accounts Payable, Compensation, Finance and Payroll. Brian currently manages the Payroll Accounting Team for Panasonic Inc. He is active with New York Road Runners (NYRR) as both a participant and volunteer leader. Brian is a photographer and has had some of his pictures published.
Brian is married to Barbara for over 35 years and their daughter, Lauren, a NYC music teacher, married Brian Kurtz in July 2021.

 

Grand Inner Guard Craig Kligfeld

Craig is a lifetime resident of Brooklyn, currently in Bensonhurst. He graduated from Edward R. Murrow High School in 1984 and attended both Kingsborough Community College and New York City Technical College, Hotel & Restaurant Management.
In 1988 Craig joined the Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection and after 32 years of service retired in 2020. Craig became involved with the Challenger Program in 1991, which Is designed for individuals, teen to adult, with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Prior to that he volunteered with the New York City Marathon and the Bike New York events. In 2012 Craig joined the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), a part of the New York City Office of Emergency Management. CERT is a community-based group of volunteers trained in disaster preparedness and emergency response. They are trained to support the efforts of New York City's first responders. He is currently a District Leader in one of the Brooklyn divisions. CERT handles everything from crowd and traffic control at street fairs, marathons and parades as well as providing needed assistance during emergency situations.
Craig joined Majestic Lodge #109 in 2005. He served as Deputy Grand Chancellor for the 46th District for Grand Chancellor Sir Robert Ross. Craig is a Past President of the 46th District. In Majestic Lodge Craig is the Collation Chairman and serves on the Moe Cohen Charitable Foundation, Budget & Finance, Entertainment and Subsidy Committees. He is also a member of Harmony Lodge #709 (2nd District) & Criers Lodge #651 (2nd District). Craig has been working with the subordinate lodges to increase membership.
Craig and his lovely wife Julie will be celebrating their 20th anniversary this October (2022).

 

Grand Outer Guard Paul Barth
Since returning to the order in 2015 Paul has been very active in his home lodge. He immediately began to move up the chairs to become Chancellor Command for the 2018-19 year. He has participated in shake-a-can drives in Brooklyn for Diabetes Research. On the lodge level Paul is currently Collation Chairperson and Treasurer of the Genesis Welfare Association. He is Editor of the Voice of Genesis and a Director of Alpha Genesis Sunshine fund.

Past Grand Chancellor Sir Charles Pakula

 

Sir Charles "Charlie" Pakula joined the Knights of Pythias in 1968, when he took his ranks at Orbit Lodge in Brooklyn. Charlie received the Knight of the Golden Spur, the highest honor the order can bestow, in 2015. He currently serves as Master at Arms for his lodge, Lakes Region No. 863.
Charlie was appointed Chief Deputy Grand Chancellor by then Grand Chancellor Sir Roger Siegel for the Pythian year 2008-09.
Charlie was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, in 1941. He was raised by a single mother who was widowed before Charlie was born. Charlie has two children, a daughter Elaine, and a son Roy. He currently resides in Monroe, NY.
Now retired Charlie enjoyed a long and varied career with various retail establishments.
Charlie is very active with many service organizations, including his local Chamber of Commerce, The Lions, Rotary, and SCORE, an organization helping new business owners. He is proud to have served his country in the U.S. Air Force, and is vice commander of the American Legion in Orange County, New York.
Charlie is the chairman of the Boy Scouts connection to Supreme Lodge for Grand Lodge of New York.

Past Grand Chancellor Harvey Rosenshein

Harvey Rosenshein joined the order in 2004 as a member Ramapo Lodge No. 485; shortly thereafter he became its Treasurer, a position he still holds. He also served four consecutive years as Chancellor Commander. He Chairs the Oneg Shabbat committee at West Point and Social Services Committee. He was editor and currently business manager of the Lodge's news bulletin, Gavel. Harvey is a dual member of New City Orangetown Lodge No. 854, where he serves as Master at Arms. He remains active in the 72nd Pythian District where he was President (2014~2015). Active in the DOKK, he serves as Royal Prince and Recording Secretary (since 2008) of Habibi Temple.

At Grand Lodge he served as Deputy Grand Chancellor for Grand Chancellor Sir Robert Ross (2014~2015) and Assistant to the Chief Deputy Grand Chancellor for the Northern Suburban Area for Grand Chancellor Steven Kohn (2015~2016). He was appointed Deputy Supreme Chancellor for 2022-2024 by Supreme Chancellor Mark Mead

Harvey was born 1950 in Brooklyn. He graduated Pace University (BBA) in 1972 and obtained a certificate for Nursing Home Administration from Flower Fifth Avenue Hospital in 1980. Now retired Harvey worked as a senior sales representative for food service equipment and supplies. Harvey is married to Rona for 53 years; they have two daughters; Jaime and Lauren; their pride and joy is their granddaughters, Maddison and London.
